Persepolis and The Book Fairies

Persepolis is a brilliant French-Iranian autobiographical animated film based on the life of Marjane Satrapi.  The movie bears the same name and it tells the story of the Iranian revolution told through the eyes of Marjane as a child and into her young adulthood. I urge people to see this film if they haven’t seen it, and to read the book as well. This wonderful website  based in the UK, has gone worldwide and is a Real Treat for book lovers like me. I ordered some stickers and sooner than later will leave a book I have read somewhere on planet earth with the sticker for someone else to find and enjoy. Emma Watson is part of this wonderful movement.

Someone can win a copy of the book with a personal signature by the actress Emma  Watson. For more details check out the Book Fairies website.

Netflix Original Series

nt

Thank you Netflix for all these series, especially the serie based on the life of Pope Francis from his youth, to his days during the horrors of the last military dictatorship that disappeared around 30,000 people. That airplane scene will forever be etched in my mind as a testament to how far human cruelty can go. Juana Ines proves Mexico still has excellent talent beyond silly soap operas. Regarding Stranger Things, I find October to far away and I hope we will have Eleven for many more seasons.
