The X Files – Mulder & Scully

I’m not into Science Fiction, but The X Files was a brainy TV show that caught my attention when I was very young because it was smart (at least the first five seasons it was)  and the relationship/chemistry between the main characters was electrifying. If soulmates really do exist,  Mulder and Scully are the closest thing I’ve ever seen to it. Fictional or not, I’ve never seen two people so attuned as they are. They read each other’s thoughts, they speak with their eyes, finish each other’s sentences and were the best of friends and colleagues before they became romantically involved later on. They are the very definition of what TRUE LOVE is.

I was very surprise to learn that the actors who portray these wonderful characters apparently never got along during the shows run. I can easily understand how spending too much time with someone can drive you crazy to the point you’ll have tension, but Hate is too strong a word and if indeed they did “hate” each other something desagreable must have happened between them. As handsome as Duchovny is I always got the feeling he was an arrogant guy and prone to bad moods and I’m also not surprise to learn Ms. Anderson is nothing like her character Dana Scully. I’m more drawn to her character of Dana Scully than Gillian Anderson herself. Outside the X-Files I don’t follow their careers and could careless if they are friends, hate or love each other. At least they have great chemistry as Mulder and Scully.

Native Americans

A culture I both respect and admire.  I find myself more intuned with Native American   spiritual beliefs than those of Christianity.  Native American beliefs have more to do with philosophy than religion and philosophy has more to do with Spirituality than religion does.

“Pardon me for not celebrating a day that commenced some of the most heinous crimes ever committed in human history”.

Being Hispanic American in the US

For those people that think that ALL Hispanics are the Same please Rethink and see people  as individuals.  That is one thing I HATE about most Americans (Not ALL but most) they  think that Hispanics are ALL THE SAME. It’s like they can’t see past south of the border. First of all, WE ARE NOT ALL MEXICANS and there is a HUGE difference between being Latin American and being a Hispanic American.  I’m appalled  at the way Hispanic Americans are represented in the United States. Jennifer Lopez is NOT Puerto Rican and she Doesn’t Represent the Puerto Rican culture or what it truly means to be Latin American. Even Ricky Martin born and bred in Puerto Rico Doesn’t represent most of us.  What these celebrities represent or sell is the commercial aspect of what it means to be Latino or Latina ( a term I Despise) in the US.  We are not all into Hip Hop or Rap, we speak Spanish Not “Mexican” and we don’t all speak Spanglish. I consider myself Latin American and I ALWAYS will! It bothers me that most Americans black or white think that Hispanics are either JLO, Ricky Martin or Pitbull type. You’d be amaze at the things you’ll learn from taking people as individuals instead of making assumptions because of their race or background, this would be the equivalent of me thinking that ALL Southerners are racist and live in trailers. Most of All NOT All of US come from low income families nor big families and my family certainly isn’t Lazy and we never lived off public assistance programs.

Be open minded and get your head out of your arse for once and discover the different types of foods, music and culture other countries of Latin America have to offer.  We are ALL Human Beings but we are NOT all the same. ENOUGH WITH THE STUPID STEREOTYPES!

It is a Horrible feeling when you are trying to fall of sleep and you just can’t.  I toss and turn all night and it sucks  to know that everyone else is sound asleep and it is 3 AM and you are still Awake. I’ve had sleeping problems since I was young and have had periods (sometimes lasting months to years) when I would fall asleep naturally.  Lately I’m not able  to sleep through the night, I’m lucky if I can get 3 or 4 hours of sleep.  It is annoying and it is taking a toll on my mood and  my health. Feeling exhausted all the time is interfering with my life and work.
